The duo of Lea Brückner (violin) and Gabor Ladanyi was founded in 2022. With Lea coming from a classical background and Gabor from jazz, the two young musicians have developed their own musical style, seamlessly blending classical music with elements of jazz, bossa nova, and more. Their repertoire ranges from Paganini’s Moses Fantasy, Bach’s Prelude in C minor, and Liszt’s Rhapsody No. 2 to Leo Weiner’s Divertimento, Django Reinhardt’s Minor Swing, Arvo Pärt’s Spiegel im Spiegel, and many others.
Their neo-classical style creates an extraordinary concert atmosphere, further enhanced by Lea’s concert moderations. With this special fusion of quality and modernity, they appeal to both young and older audiences.
Here’s a look back at some highlights from their past concerts:
2022:
The duo was invited to perform at the German Bundestag in Berlin and at the United Nations’ World Food Forum in Rome. In December, they opened a handball match at the Max-Schmeling-Halle in front of 9,000 people.
2023:
After a New Year’s tour in North Rhine-Westphalia, the duo was featured in the “Igudesman Presents” series by Aleksey Igudesman. Their unique version of Vivaldi’s Spring titled Vivaldi in Rio was presented during this event.
Later that year, they performed at the FiraB! Festival in Spain, at the German Embassy in Budapest, at the Franz Liszt Institute in Paris, at a Steinway influencer event in Vienna, among others.
2024:
The duo contributed to Lea’s debut album Pangea, released by Naxos/Oehms Classics. They also performed at the Impact Day Festival in Tallinn, at the Franz Liszt Institute in Brussels, the Tonhalle Düsseldorf, and more.
